Concordia University of Edmonton offers diploma and certificate programs in psychological assessment. Key areas of emphasis include intellectual, personality and forensic assessment, as well as human neuropsychology and child, adolescent and adult psychopathology. All topics are covered in three-credit courses, focusing on developing students’ theory and knowledge integrated with hands-on practical skills.
Practicum placements will be embedded in agencies, private practices, and clinics. Dependent on the placement, student practitioners will provide front-line assessment services under the supervision of Registered Psychologists. Placements are offered in partnership with the Family Solutions Group (www.kellscounselling.ca) in addition to a number of private practitioners and agencies.
